A little warmth to remember every day — easy, and filling.

Tianji began with hand-stuffed yong tau foo, with our Bentong factory at the heart of production. Familiar pieces like tofu pok, chillies, bitter gourd and beancurd-skin rolls carry many people’s memories of a hot bowl of soup or a kopitiam breakfast. Today our own outlets, partner stalls, retail and wholesale take “the taste of Bentong” to more places — whether eaten fresh in the shop or taken home to share, we hope every customer gets that familiar, satisfying taste.

Our founder, May Lee, has worked in food and beverage for over 35 years. From preparing ingredients and stuffing every piece by hand each day, to running a small stall of her own, she has always believed that good food doesn’t need to be complicated — what matters most is doing every bite properly.

With years of skill and persistence, the little stall slowly won its regulars, and Tianji became a taste many people know and miss.

From there, Tianji Stuffed Food moved into a new stage: from a small stall to a brand; from the first generation’s craft to the second generation carrying it on.

What we want to pass on is more than the craft of making stuffed food — it is the warmth of Malaysian neighbourhood eating: simple, convenient and familiar, yet something you miss after you’ve eaten it. Tianji carries that original intention forward.
